Our History

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Foster McCarl Jr. returned home in 1946 and founded McCarl's Inc. He established the company with a personal commitment to customer satisfaction and a $4,000 G.I. loan. In the early days of the company, a firm handshake was enough to seal a deal, because people knew McCarl's word was his bond. Known then as McCarl’s Plumbing & Heating, the company sold furnaces and cast iron sinks while offering residential plumbing and heating services. Foster McCarl’s reputation for dependability soon catapulted the firm into significant industrial and commercial contracts.
